CAN WE MAKE A 'YOU CAN MAKE IT' 2025...?  😳 🤯 🙌🏻

This is a little wordy, so get comfortable and I'll explain...

You Can Make It was a hugely popular UK Metal Clay residential conference which ran in 2017, 2018 and 2020.

I organised the events with my fabulous Metal Clay team, and fantastic support every year from a huge range of wonderful tutors. These events were a highlight for many (including us), offering hands-on experience in a way that had not been done before, amazing learning opportunities, and the chance to connect and get together with our wonderful metal clay tribe. 

Whilst they were amazing, magical, exciting, and so much fun, behind the scenes they were exhausting, time consuming, and took a toll on us physically as well as on our business. But, our fond memories and the demand (we absolutely love that you haven't stopped asking, and we really treasure that YCMI has meant so much for so many of you 🧡 ) have led us to consider the future of YCMI.

Over the last few years Stuart and I have discussed whether we could create a new hybrid version of YCMI, that would be gentler on us and our small team, but hopefully still special for anyone taking part.

For us the most important part of YCMI was always the hands-on experience together with socialising and having some fun. Last year our musings became a real possibility so we got in touch with some special metal clay artists to see if our idea made sense and if they would want to take part. And we think we've got a good solution worked out...

Here is You Can Make It 2025 - we hope you like the sound of it! 

WHAT IS YCMI 2025?

• It takes place at Metal Clay Ltd, Wareham, Dorset (UK), spanning 15-21st October 2025. We'll be there for 7 days - you choose how many of those to attend.

• YCMI 2025 will run over 7 optional days, featuring up to 6 days of hands-on metal clay magic and a day dedicated to demonstrations and talks. You pick what to attend - it could be just two days for one masterclass, four if you take two masterclasses, up to a bonkers seven days if you select to fully immerse yourself in the entire event, learning from all three tutors.

• We're bringing in three exceptionally talented overseas tutors, each teaching a 2-day masterclass x three times during the event

• Attend one, two, or all three classes, plus the demo day, depending on your availability and budget. 

• Arrange your own accommodation, or travel from home if you are close enough

• There will be around 40-55 participants daily (with over 70 expected on the demo day), so there will be a great buzz and lots of people to meet.

• Each day we'll all come together over a long inclusive lunch for food, socialising, fun competitions, and giveaways.

• Plus, there will be some shopping opportunities for those interested.

So in short, YCMI 2025 is a non-residential event, in our premises, which will feature three fabulous overseas tutors teaching 2-day masterclasses (three times) and one demonstration day, socialising and fun activities over the included daily long lunch, and shopping opportunities. You choose where to stay, and whether you come for two or (up to) seven days (by booking one, two, or all three classes + the demo day). Your choice depending on your availability and budget.
